His education includes a B.A. in Chemistry from Knox College and J.D., with honors from the University of Texas where he served on the Texas Law Review. His expertise is chemical, mechanical food technology and biotechnology.

John is a registered Patent Attorney and is licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado. Prior to becoming an attorney, John worked for many years as a manufacturing process engineer in the electronics industry and developed expertise in automated assembly, manufacturing processes, electronics and software. He joined us in 1997.
John's special expertise in sports-related IP issues reflects his interest in outdoor activities including skiing, sailing and cycling. He regularly competes in the USSA Alpine Masters ski series and Teamski, including national and international events.
